Sensor Technology Package (Sensors and Transducers)

The Sensor Technology Package is one of the Mechatronics Training Package.

PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), Sensors and Transducers can be found in all aspects of manufacturing applications from assembly line robots, to storage, retrieval, Packaging and delivery systems.

The Study and use of the Sensor Technology Package is thus an important element in preparing students for success in industrial carriers and making existing technical industry personnel aware of these advanced technologies. Sensor Technology Package enables them to grasp the fundamentals of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), Sensors and Transducers commonly used in modern automated manufacturing environments through hands on activities. This package challenges them to design and build automated and industry relevant projects.

The students can build and simulate Ladder programming i.e.., Offline and Online modes. Various ranges of Sensors and Transducers provide student’s flexibility in programming students will have an exposure to ladder, Electrical, FBD PLC Programming languages. PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) with programming keys and LCD displays is an external feature, which allows students to program on stand alone PLC and through PC.

CMTPL’s curriculum is a combination of textbooks and automation exercises, giving the student/industry personnel, state-of-art industry experience.
